Our Architect

Philip has more than thirty years of architecture experience in coastal Wilmington, North Carolina. Originally from Virginia, he studied at Virginia Tech and completed a Bachelor of Architecture in 1989. He completed a year externship at the prestigious Skidmore, Owings & Merrill architectural firm. He moved to Wilmington, NC, in 1990, a place he was familiar with from his childhood, to begin working for Cothran Harris Architecture. After working with Cothran for twelve years, he moved to John Sawyer Architects until starting pghARCHITECURE 10 years later.

Philip is dedicated guiding you and creating a thoughtful experience to discover your needs and visions to help express your ideas. The goal is always to create a residential or commercial space that ultimately excites you. Philip understands how to positively influence any project experience. He brings your expressions into the world with his creativity, bespoke process, and skills.
